Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. This page explains how to exercise that right.

1. Our Practices Regarding Sale and Sharing

LoanBearMe does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, under the CCPA, the term "sale" is broadly defined and may include the sharing of personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or other business purposes.

We share your personal information with our network of lending partners for the purpose of evaluating your loan request. This sharing may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws.

2. How to Opt Out

To exercise your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, you may:

  • Submit a request by email: support@loanbearme.com (subject line: "Do Not Sell or Share")

Please include your name, email address, and ZIP code so we can identify and process your request. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and complete the opt-out within 45 days.

3. What Happens After You Opt Out

Once we process your opt-out request, we will stop sharing your personal information with lending partners and third parties for purposes that constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under applicable law, except as necessary to complete transactions you have already initiated or as required by law.

If you later wish to resume sharing, you may contact us using the same methods above.

4. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We will require written proof of the agent's authorization and may verify your identity directly.

5. Your Other Privacy Rights

In addition to the right to opt out, you may also have the right to:

  • Know: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Delete: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct: Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
